[ Format - Sound volume... Alt+Q ] This slide control sets the silence detection threshold for the nominated sound recording. Instant Demo can automatically set the volume to zero for silent passages in your sound recording. This technique improves the quality of your sound by removing all noise when silence is detected and also reduces the final file size of your demonstration. The slider can be moved whilst listening to your sound source (using the 'Play sound' button). If noise can be heard in the silent passages of your sound, then move the slider to the right (more). If the sound is 'choppy' or the beginning or end of spoken words are cut-off, then move the slider to the left (less). |
